A group of male youths have been detained by Police officers in the south of the borough after receiving reports that they were behaving suspiciously.
Officers from Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team, made up of regular officers and PCSOs, were alerted to the activity on Wednesday 10th May in which car and property door handles were being tried in the Sawley area.
After a search was carried out, one youth made off on a cycle whilst two others escaped on foot. Two males were subsequently detained in the garden of a property on Shaftesbury Avenue whilst another male was detained on Fairfield Crescent.
They were arrested for multiple offences. An investigation has been ongoing.
